We are the New Rochelle Art Association, a collective of artists, volunteers, and art lovers dedicated to fostering creativity and showcasing visual arts in our city. Our mission is to connect our community through exhibitions, workshops, and shared passion, providing a dynamic platform for both established and emerging local talent.
Our Home at The Lumen Winter Gallery
All NRAA exhibitions are held at our primary venue, The Lumen Winter Gallery at The New Rochelle Public Library. This accessible, central space allows us to bring art directly into the heart of the community, creating a welcoming environment for dialogue and discovery. The gallery is the physical manifestation of our commitment to making art a public and integral part of daily life in New Rochelle.
Join Us: Exhibit, Volunteer, Participate
Our association thrives on the active participation of our members and friends. We are always looking for volunteers to help with gallery sitting, exhibition installation, and event coordination. As a reminder, NRAA membership includes the rewarding expectation to volunteer at least once during the course of the year—it’s a wonderful way to connect with fellow artists and contribute directly to our cultural landscape. Whether you're an artist ready to submit work or a community member eager to support the arts, your energy is essential to our success.
For our artist members, we host a curated schedule of juried and open exhibitions throughout the year, including special events like our NRAA/NCA Chelsea Show. For specific questions regarding that exhibition, please contact Jesse Sanchez at (914) 664-0520 or jsanchez@mindspring.com. Please note that receiving for that show is Monday, November 2nd, from 1-3pm, with a pick-up date of Saturday, November 1.
To stay current with all our upcoming calls for art, exhibition dates, and volunteer opportunities, we invite you to view our up-to-date exhibition and event calendar. This is your central resource for all NRAA activities and deadlines.
